My Goals and Interests

I have always liked various sports and activities. I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old. During my 11 years of playing soccer, I played plenty of soccer games and various tournaments and cups. I remember in 8th grade when we won the whole series. That was one of my many good memories of playing soccer.

Growing up in Norway my family had a winter cabin. It is literally right next to a small local ski resort.  I always loved going there and that's where I started skiing at 5 years old. I had a fun time skiing until I was 8 years old and my dad took me on the slopes in Tahoe, California to go snowboarding. I instantly fell in love with it! I got pretty good and after a few years I was doing jumps and a few tricks. Over the years I've progressed a lot and become a pretty good snowboarder. I don't do any crazy flips or stuff like that but I've hit some pretty big jumps before and will do 360`s, grabs, and some rails.

I would say I'm a very good overall snowboarder, not anything crazy at a particular terrain but good at all of them: powder, downhill, park, and jumping.

A few years ago I hit a really big jump and landed straight on my back on hard flat snow. If i wasn't wearing a back brace i could have broken my back. I was up in the air about 15-16 feet. I had hit that same jump several times and when I look back at it I know the reason it happened. The jump was kind of in a steep tricky place. Right above the jump I had cleared another natural jump down from a cliff, I went straight for the big jump with a lot of speed and came in from a weird angle from the left side of the board. (Which is my frontside) It was really stupid and not well thought through; i guess i got kinda cocky from hitting the same jump all day that same day.

To be honest that kinda changed my boarding style. For a while after my recovery I was scared to hit certain jumps, and I still am to this day sometimes. This happened about two and a half years ago and now when I ride I'm a little more careful in the park, but I'm still progressing more every year in other aspects too. For example, I attempted my first backflip about 1.5 years ago. I didn't land it completely but it was deep, soft snow so it didn't matter as much.

One big part of my ability to get good and progress in snowboarding was that i did gymnastics as a child and early teenager.

When I was 8 years old and did my first backflip on a trampoline, I fell in love with gymnastics. During the good seasons in Norway when you can have a trampoline up, me and my best friends would jump on trampolines all day long.

We were pretty decent, me and around 6-8 good friends of mine started making youtube videos doing trampoline tricks. We would edit it and make it with cool background music. We thought we were so cool, hahaha! At the end probably around 7th grade we were doing both double backflips, side flips, and frontflips. One of my friends could even do triple and sometimes quadruple. He had done gymnastics his whole life and competed, and was one of the best in Norway at his age. I did gymnastics for maybe 3-4 years throughout my life, but I always did acrobatic stuff and hobbies that included balance etc… for example: skating, scootering, climbing, parkour, and sometimes surfing. I am thankful that I was able, and committed to doing that type of stuff because it has really helped my ability to learn new sports quickly and maintain a good balance.

I still like all these sports but I've kept my favorite ones as my current hobbies . I love snowboarding, I can still do some flips and tricks, and usually use that ability when i jump in water or am at the beach. I workout in the gym sometimes and jog, walk, and do cool hikes. I am also thinking of picking up soccer again. One new sport I recently started and I am enjoying is frisbee golf. It's a very fun sport and I love to go to new courses and check out the cool and beautiful spots they're at.

Aside from that, I have many new goals and interests. I have gotten very interested in investing, with both stocks, funds, and some crypto. One of my new goals is to invest at least 25% of what I earn. I am looking to focus on long term, high yield stocks and funds. So I can watch that compound interest grow over time! I am currently reading several books on self growth, investing, and entrepreneurship. One book i am reading now is called: The Alpha Male Bible, which is all about self growth and covers the topics: charisma, psychology of attraction, charm, art of confidence, self-hypnosis, meditation, art of body language, eye contact, small talk, habits, and self discipline of a real alpha man.

I have also gotten very into various aspects of real estate, like: rental units, house flipping, and property management, as well as how to find the best deals and analyze them.

In one specific course I took this year I learned how to install and uninstall a toilet, how to apply new hardwood flooring, and how to install and build a window sill.

In the county where I live in Norway there are some cities that are up and coming with much growth potential. Me and my father are going to check out some open houses while I'm here and possibly look into getting my first house flip. It would have to be the perfect house and deal though, but I'm still very excited and hoping for the best as real estate is one of my biggest passions and goals for the future. I really want to get into the market as soon as possible so I can expand my knowledge and grow. I have found out that the biggest step is to just get in any way you can (the earlier, the better), there will be challenges along the way and I am prepared for that, but as people say: You don't succeed without failure.

Anyways, I want to thank all of you guys reading this for taking the time to listen to my story and learn more about me. I wish and hope the best for all of you in the future.
